The Player is the protagonist of the horror game *Poppy Playtime*, first appearing in Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze (2021).
The Player is a former employee of Playtime Co., a once-successful toy manufacturing company. Ten years after the mysterious disappearance of the entire staff, The Player receives a letter urging them to return to the abandoned factory. Driven by curiosity and a desire to uncover the truth, they venture back into the decaying building.
Throughout the game, The Player solves puzzles, interacts with (and often evades) terrifying toys brought to life, and uncovers the dark secrets behind Playtime Co.'s demise. Their ultimate goal is to survive and understand the events that led to the factory's closure and the disappearance of its employees. The Player's identity is deliberately kept vague, allowing players to project themselves onto the character.
